Do I need an appointment for a fitting?
While walk-ins are always welcome, we recommend scheduling an appointment for our custom fitting service, especially during peak hours (Saturday mornings and holiday seasons). Appointments ensure dedicated time with one of our fitting specialists and allow us to prepare any specific styles you might be interested in. How long does a fitting take?
A complete fitting consultation typically takes 30-45 minutes. This includes foot measurement, gait analysis, discussion of your lifestyle and needs, and trying on several options. We want to ensure you find the perfect fit, so we take our time. Some customers spend up to an hour exploring different styles and asking questions.
What if my shoes don't fit when they arrive?
For special orders, we work closely with you to ensure accurate sizing. However, if something isn't quite right, we offer free adjustments (stretching, minor modifications) within the first 30 days. If significant changes are needed, we can often reorder in the correct size at no additional shipping cost.
Do you offer shoe repair services?
Yes! Our repair specialist can handle resoling, heel replacement, leather conditioning, stretch fitting, and minor repairs. We work on both our own products and other quality brands. Turnaround time is typically 2-3 weeks for standard repairs. Pricing depends on the work needed; contact us for a quote on your specific pair.
What sizes do you carry?
Our in-stock inventory typically includes men's sizes 6-14 in standard widths (D), with select styles available in B (narrow) and EEE (wide). For sizes outside this range or special widths, we can often special order with delivery in 2-4 weeks. We also carry select youth sizes for families shopping together.
Can I return or exchange items?
We accept returns within 30 days for unworn items in original condition with tags attached. Custom-ordered items cannot be returned but can be exchanged for a different size. Exchanges are always free. Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5-7 business days of receiving the returned item.
Do you ship outside of Virginia?
Yes, we ship throughout the United States. For orders outside our local delivery area, we charge a flat shipping rate. International shipping is available on request. Please note that for international orders, customers are responsible for any customs duties or import fees.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), personal checks (local customers), and gift cards. For special orders, we require a 50% deposit with the balance due upon arrival of your footwear.
